Thoughts for Monday April 6, 2020
Things are looking a bit bleak according to the news reports. However i am a true believer in what is the power of prayer and faith. There is a higher power that is guiding us through this maze of terror and i will refer to this epidemic as terror.
I define terror as the unknown, how are we supposed to battle, fight, counter act something if we do not know what to expect from the actually fear that we have.
The news is reporting that we will see the worst of it in the coming weeks, however how do they truly know and what is there definition of the worst of it. Is it counted in deaths, lost jobs, foreclosures, closed businesses, or just emotional draining from the stress of it all being on top of us so quickly.
My friends, when things look the bleakest there is an answer. It is in the power of prayer, and for that to be a part of your life believing in God is the answer.
I will tell you this, prayers are always answered, but they are rarely answered exactly the way you desire. Nor are they answered exactly when you desire them. However some are, and have been or it was my perception that they were. I am sure God was laughing at my minor requests when he had much more interesting things on his mind. This is yet another example of how our world has turned from the simplistic way of life, leave everything behind and come follow me.
Such an easy request, but yet with your phone, computer, games, and all your other time communing activities that we and myself put before our lord there is no wonder he would want to get our attention.
I do believe he has mine now, but yet has always had mine. Sometimes when things are going well i do believe to much in myself and don’t rely on him as much and definitely don’t pray as much. However, God does realize we are weak and are born to sin, not an excuse just fact. We do pray to him in times of need and forget when times are good. It is time we praise him everyday good and bad.
