We bought a Zoo
Just kidding but we have moved to a place with some land about 10 acres with a pond and a barn. We have nice neighbors and ones that are willing to help a city boy adjust to the country style of living.
The first thing i had to do was build a fence for the dogs so they would roam the entire property with out us having to watch them every second. That was the first two weekends full.
Then of course helping with the incredible amount of boxes and trash from the move that we had to take care of and for that matter still are.
My daughter wanted animals chickens to be exact and we were in tractor supply and met a wonderful lady that offered us some pigs. Well then i was building a pen pen so that weekend was taken up. So we have been here now for 4 weeks and this is starting the 5th and we went to kerrville Sunday to look at some animals a friend recommended us for that are you guessed it 2 mini horses, 2 mini donkeys, and 4 goats. So guess what i will be doing for the next 5 -6 weekends. Build corals and stalls and a covered barn for them and redoing the fence to hold the goats in instead of barbed wire which is what the land had to begin with.
Now last night there was a bad freeze and this morning snow. It is never ending the things you can dream about and see on this incredible place we have.
I am very blessed to have the opportunity to enjoy it before i get so old i wont be able to have fun on it. Thank you
More pictures to come with building from the ground up, and the new additions to the family.
