May 5, 2018 Mike Evans Charity Golf Tournament

It was my pleasure to play in the 1st Mike Evans golf Tournament yesterday. What a glorious day to help the Mike Evans Foundation with our support to help students with scholarship monies to go to school.

The event was played on the Texas A&M campus course. I will say after a 3 inch rain the day before the course was in good shape and it was a good group of men i was fortunate to play with in the tournament. I was able to play with my friend Brad , Paul and meet two new friends Matt, and Darrin. The event was a scramble with a few twists to it, there were grenade throws, and of course mulligans which we used to our advantage on numerous occasions to come in with a 20 under par 51. Well it wasn’t good enough for first but we did get second.

I was able to to meet Mike and his wonderful wife at the event and his agent which we were fortunate enough play with in the tournament. Darrin your a great person and it was a pleasure not only play in the tournament with you but to meet you, your a good person.

It was nice to be back on Campus even though the students were moving out of their dorms that day. The hustle and bustle of the day was just like old times when we were in college. Many days have passed but the feeling of fellowship is always there in aggieland.

Thank you to Matt for the sponsorship of our team and letting me play in his group. I hope i played well enough to keep my spot for next year.

It was good to have MIke back in College Station as well as a few of his professional teammates James Winston, and Johnny Manziel.
